Actually this doesn't make me feel any better. 15 Seconds to find your enemy is still bad. Are you confirming this is all it will take? An Atlas could scout that

He did state that it was a small map and that they went into an area that was mostly devoid of cover. If something the size of a 'Mech is out of cover, you don't need sensors to pick it up, the Mk.1 Eyeball is more than sufficient.

He also said that the enemies ran into the open, which is, of course, an unlikely course of action at the start in an actual game.

i'd imagine that trees would provide cover from sensors

Terrain (the ground) will never deform. Trees will fall soon™.

I don't mind if the terrain doesn't deform, but I wouldn't mind seeing scorch marks/holes/laser lines in the dirt.

Also, those fire rules on page 43 of Tactical Operations... now wouldn't it be swell if we could set fire to trees/buildings, and have that fire spread? Also, smoke screens as a result? Could be interesting! ;)

LOS was 'if you can see it' IE. if a laser from your eye to the 'Mech is unobstructed - it was done for easier showing of how the game looks. Currently it is not like that.

What I'm wondering if either trees will be able to interfere with these LOS things, either with being too thick to see through or just interrupting the signal and keeping from getting a 100% lock, whatever that means

Ya'll never see me. I'll be always on your six. :)

Stop cowering behind my Mech and get on the front lines! If you use me as your shield to anyone you've pulled aggro on, you can COUNT on me taking YOU out before I go. ;)

Hmm... Forest Colony.

Do you have any other maps planned, or are you going to just polish the best out of this one for the time being? ;)

I think just yesterday Bryan made a post about playing on a different map and stating that "Forest Colony" was a smaller than average map.
