I bought a new computer and thought it should have been enough for this site. I was wrong. Now is there a way to play this game (online) with setting set lower than normal? Or am I just SOL.
Thanks

Stats on your PC would help us help YOU! :P

Also, this game has performance issues and requires a hefty gaming rig to run at acceptable levels, so if you bought a PC in stores its probably lacking the graphics power to handle the game.

Also remember that the HEAT of your GPU is important (especially for laptop users but also PC's) you can lose 20-30 percent of your performance without good coolant. I run this game perfectly on my laptop but you NEED external cooling pads.

There are plenty of computers you can buy new. Quite a few of them are actually suitable for solid gaming.

In other words, list your specs and we'll try to help.

Store-bought gaming computers can work, but generally aren't very good for gaming purposes. It's almost always better (and cheaper) to build your own. It's not that difficult to do, either, there are several great tutorials and videos on youtube (the newegg channel is really good) on how to build a computer.

What are the specs on the computer you're using?

(O.o)
Your new computer has trouble with just the forums alone?
Sounds like you has received poor quality goods.

I have an Intel Core i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz
6.00 GB Ram
64-bit OS
512 Mb Video Card
This isn't good enough?

Your prebuilt budget P.C was not made to play the games. ('-')
(And me sincerely hope you only paid ~100-300 units of $ for that.)
Though me can't make a definitive answer until me know the make and model of said video card.

Still, that sort of spec should have no problem browsing the forums.

Not sure about the video card without knowing what it is. At the moment your issue is probably the CPU, the game really isn't optimized for dual-core....especially on an i3.

Internet connection might be causing connection issues, but honestly I think your CPU is the limiting factor.

You can use double heat sinks but that will cut down on the number of slots available, you probably won't have space for SLI then. Also FF is a waste on most PCs.
