I have noticed that I CTD (crash to desktop) far more often on some maps than others. For example, I rarely ever CTD on Caustic or River City, but I CTD very, very often on Frozen City. I was just curious if anyone else had noticed similar patterns with their crashes,

Now that I think about it, I have never crashed to desktop.

If I'm going to CTD, it tends to happen immediately after the "Searching" box goes away but before I can tell what map is loading.

No matter where. I've had this happen on all maps except Froze City Night...yet.

EDIT: Happens after playing for ~2 hours most of the time. If i restart the game before, no CTD.

A friend of mine with serious CTD and crash-as-in-has-to-reboot issues did some tracking of this, and his conclusion was that it's not map related; the crashes were randomly distributed over every map. I'll contact him and see if he still has the numbers (he hasn't visited the forums yet, bless his heart).

I've CTD'd by far the most on frozen city. It happens on every map, with caustic being second-highest. It usually seems to happen when cresting a ridge and having 3+ people look/target/shoot you at once.

That said, forest colony is even less playable for me due to incurring the HDR bug (getting shot or shooting someone makes my screen turn black) every single match.

Usually happens when I first log in, regardless of the map. Once I've played one or two successfully, I don't tend to CTD for a while.

You don't have an option for 'all of the above'.

I've only CTD twice, both were on frozen city in the tunnel right after I killed someone.

I very rarely crash to desktop. but when I have it was either on Forest Colony or Frozen City.

Sounds crazy but after 235 matches, I have encountered only 1 ingame CTD.

CTD maybe 1/4 of the games I launch, hate it as I know it's hurting the team I would have been on a ton.

For the record, I'm using Nvidia Beta drivers.
So that might be why?

Using the WHQL drivers and getting crashes. Not often enough to make me bash the screen in but enough to notice.

And for all who do crash, keep sending the reports in to PGI.

Rarely. Where's the 'so rare as to not be readily measurable' option?

I believe I've crashed out twice. Once was just last night on Forest Snow (apparently my soulless Atlas kept up the fight, doing a better job than I could). Can't remember when that other time was.
