So... watching the otherwise outstanding previews of the light, medium, heavy and assault 'Mechs gameplay, one thing stood out for me. With the Hunchback preview in particular, the interplay of the horizon and the cockpit frame looked all wrong. The horizon and external environment don't appear to move at all, while the cockpit frame bobs up and down with each step the 'Mech takes.
IMHO, this is backwards, and I hope it is being addressed. From a realism standpoint, the MechWarrior is strapped into the command couch, and the the cockpit frame (and the rest of the 'Mech) should always remain static relative to his viewpoint. The horizon should be the component bobbing slightly with movement. The way it looks now is visually jarring, especially with the various HUD screens fixed in place.

I watched the vids again and the environment does bob slightly. I think the way the seat is made means it has it's own cushioning system to counter-act the bounce of the mech so you're not being thrown about so much in the cockpit. The HUD is displayed in the helmet visor so it'll always stay in place. Having said that, the Hunchie does seem to want to throw the pilot about a fair bit.
