This isn't posted to sound snarky and may have been discussed already (but I REALLY don't want to descend into the Clan forums to look... lazy I know).

For those Marik and Liao faction players, who will they be fighting when the Clans arrive? Will they still just keep knocking FedCom targets? Each other? Be moved up to the spinward fronts as part of Alliances?

In short, how will these factions be guaranteed the same pasting the rest of us will receive?

I'm going to show Liao Superiority and knock a few clanners down on their *****.

We already discussed the matter and came to the conclusion, that we should be able to join those battes as the allies of Kuritans.

I know it contradicts lore, but when Fed Com gets Clan salvage, we need to have it too. ;)

I think Liao spent part of the Clan Invasion getting territory back from the Davions. Later, all 5 houses banded together to form a giant robot to defeat the Clans.

I too am -very- curious how the clan invasion is going to be handled as far as matchups and who must face them.

Well, the devs have mentioned that the map could change dramatically. Who's to say they won't get a crack at the Clanners on their own worlds? Unlikely? Very! Just throwing it out there.

PGI has confirmed that there will be salvage of items and 'mechs?

I can only speak for myself, but I intend to honor the Concord of Kapteyn and will not attack targets in the Free World League.

It would be fantastic (and bizarre) if the 1st strike flips the IS, coming from the "south" rather "north." It would blow for the CC to now be the new FFR, but having Tukyyid happen on Sarna instead would be quite epic.

No, but whatever happens, they will get access to Clan equipment somehow. ;)

I have no clue on combat but the FWL will be rolling in C-bills and the CC would/should be taking the time to build up its forces for future combat against the AFFC/AFFS.

Or even that in the course of the next year, CC or FWL shifts their territory far enough northward.....

Nah.. we in the FRR would be very disappointed we had to fight our way through half the IS to get at the clans.

I know the fwl get a good deal refitting and building new mechs for the other houses fighting the clanners. Although if i was a fwl or god forbid a cc player, I would want my chance to have a go at the clans. Hmmm in cannon the st. Ives compact to send some troops to the front. Maybe the cc players can use that as a way to get into the fight. I know most cc faction players wouldn't want to fight for the s.ives compact.

A more likely scenario is that the clans simply attack from all sides at once. That would make a lot more military sense, though lore fanatics would probably scream. I don't care, let them scream. I'm all for finding the fun, not playing out what is written in a book somewhere.

The best action is going to be a heavy metal Viking brawl way up north in the sphere.

I recommend bringing your own mean in any case. I'm not very trusting of the Clans to have good mead as spoils of war, and I'm even less trusting of the Steiners to choose good mead when they end up paying for it, since they'll still be waiting on their Atlas scouts to come back by the time we make it there.

as much as i loved the books te idea of them taking us from all sides sounds great... they could use several other clans to take the east west and south and keep the OG clans where they were... (can anyone tell i wanna pounce on some jade falcons)

I could see some 'historical' reasoning for the FWL and CC to assist the FRR, for example... since the FRR dislikes mercenaries so much, I would think they would be more willing to allow some Marik and Liao house units to help defend planets. (probably best if they were sent to different planets though) ;)
