If a proper matchmaking system isn't top priority, it really meeds to be. As a new player, I am forced to fight organized groups nearly all of my matches. Once in a great while I'll have a fun and fair match-up but most of the time it's lopsided fights which are not a fun experience. In a perfect world, premades would only fight other organized groups and I do understand that this is not a perfect world. However, the current situation really sucks.

have you played in the last 10 hours?
phase 2 of community warfare was implemented and most premades should be moving to 8v8 non PUG drops
there will still be some 4 man premades in PUG drops but I doubt they will be any where near the number they have been recently

Pretty much what he said.
Phase 2 of the match maker was implemented today.

This might be a case of "You've fought a few fights with other PuGs with good players, not premades".

Then it's because the other team did this thing called

Using Team Chat to coordinate. Scary huh?

ah yes, because 2 matches is a good sampling to gauge game play... lol
hopefully it improves as you play more matches
I have been playing PUGs for a couple days now and didnt have much of a problem with 4 man groups, they can be pretty efficient but theyre still easy to pick apart as well

Lopsided matches do not equal PUG Vs. Premade.

There are a dozen different factors that may cause / contribute to that effect. Someone may have taken up an impromptu leadership position and presented a tactical advantage, they may have luckily dropped with mechs more optimized for the range of engagement, the other team may have custom mechs while your team had 3 trials, etc.

(please note all of these are indifferent to your individual skill)

The matchmaker needs work, everyone knows that (including PGI, hence Phase II implementation today) but it takes time. If you do not have that kind of patience, please come back in Feb. or so. We'll be here.

I can deal with waiting for improvements. I will play some more and note any changes in my experience.

Bad timing on making this thread, haha...8v8 mode went live this morning.

Unfortunately as of today it's pretty unlikely that your lopsided matches are due to premade groups...likely your team was just outplayed. Happens to all of us for sure, I've been on both sides of plenty of lopsided matches...

I wonder what the common denominator is in these matches you play in?

I'm getting really tired of these threads fast. The problem isn't PUGs vs Premades. It is simply coordination. People complained and PGI listened. Prior to 4-man groups I maintained a 10-1 W-L ratio with a 5.0+KDR. After 4 man groups came out I maintained the same W-L ratio and same KDR. It doesn't matter. Coordination is what matters the most. Talk to your team. Coach your newbs, and perhaps learn a bit yourself.

Now that we've got our 8-mans back, you're seeing even less premades as they have moved on to what they have been dying to get back to the last month or so. Get some skill please. Learn to carry.

and I was so waiting to see them continue to blame the premade boogieman.

Now mind you, I have been dropping as a PUG all evening, and have, out of 20+ drops been able to confirm dropping WITH 2 4 mans, one very open, the other a bunch of douches that trumped their unit, then refused to communicate and coordinate.

As for against, I would say very few. Running a better than 50% win rate (barely) and have been keeping on the plus side in kills. Sounds to me, tbh, that maybe you just are not very good? Because I know I am middle of the road, and not having any real issues.

Despite 8 v 8 you probably won't see a huge difference while pugging, it seems the same to me as it has been since phase 1.

People will complain about anything to blame something other then themself for losing. For some reason most of the people here playing think they are God's gift to gaming and are an army of one.

They Cry about premades...
They Cry about weapon balance...
I am surprised that they dont cry about the rest of their teams inability to read their mind and do exactly what they want them to.

This is a team game pure and simple... you dont see PUG foot ball teams on TV.
If you are not grouped in this game... I dont know why you expect to win. I mean really... we are taking on the mantle of House and or merc UNITS. Not a rag tag milita.

People need to grow up.
