OK. I wanted to make mechbay room so I sold a phract I had mastered but didn't need anymore. As soon as I sold the mech all my mastery and training went away. That has got to be the dumbest functionality I have ever seen. At the very least all that XP should go back into MXP for that mech.
And a question -
Just finished a night fight in river city and had the wierdest thing happen. With the exception of one arm and my legs all my front and rear armor areas were lightly damaged. Then all of a sudden the MG in the undamaged arm was reported destroyed, then the MG in the other arm then the weps in my right torso and the medium laser in the undamaged arm.
I headed to the enemy base with lightly damaged armor and no weps left at all?
How does that happen?

Once you sell a mech, the mastery level no longer displays. It will be visible again if you get another of the same chassis. Also, it will not affect the other mechs you have regarding their mastery.

OP, it does not erase your pilot unlocks for a mech, it just grays them out. If you rebuy the mech, you should get all those unlocks back like nothing happened.
As for the other bit, were you being attacked from behind? Did you overheat? Overheating can destroy your internals but leave your armor intact. It can also destroy your weapons and ammo. It might also be a bug though but not anything I've ever heard.

Well when I looked at the 4X the one I just sold nothing was grayed everything was reset to 0/8 and such.
I was being attacked from behind and to my right, so left arm was shielded by my body and yet the MG was the first to go from that arm. No overheating and damage to back was light. No crits were being reported just ...MachineGun destroyed, medium laser destroyed gauss rifle destroyed and so on. It was like the enemy was bypassing my armor and every shot destroyed a weapon.

Sorry, grayed-out wasn't the best description. What you said. If you rebuy the mech, it should still be there. (I have not tested this personally but others seem to say the same thing, and it does show any extra xp you haven't spent on the chassis as well as basic/elite/master level)
As for the destroyed weapons, can't say. Sounds like a possible bug at this point.

Well I had the variant mastered and after selling it XP is at 217 for it.
Well hopefully the weapon thing was a one time issue as I don't see anyone else reporting an issue.

Its all still there so have no worries. the 217XP you see reported on that Mech is the extra XP you had gained over the 21500XP required to unlock the Master. As stated by others, as soon as you buy the Mech again it will all show again.

Cool. Thank you all for that info. Still think they need to lock all that info in place and just leave it visible.
