Just a quick ask as I am unsure of which Merc units ever had contracts with the FRR.

None - The FRR hated mercs cos of the damage they caused during the 4th succession war.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry you are wrong there, The Kell hounds worked in the FRR, thats where Phelen Kell was captured by the clans.

nope ... thats right ... but they were hated and all the way through the beginning of that book its rammed home how much Mercenaries were/are hated in the FRR.
Also the Kell hounds were only employed to hunt periphery bandits no garrison work. When they were on a FRR world they had to stay in a separate enclave.
hmmmm ... saying that ... if there was a separate enclave for mercenaries ... that sounds kind of established ... so maybe there were more ...
No idea who though.

Yeah, As far as I remember the hatred stemmed from units sticking to the LETTER of their contracts with the FRR instead of the implied want/need of the FRR, resulting in lots of damage with the mercs just sitting by & watching, As to units, id assume it would have been the larger ones working for them, as they have more clout & backup if things go wrong. BUT the only one i remember reading about is the Kell Hounds.

As far as I know, they started hating them when rogue Kuritan mercenaries didn't acknowledged their separation and plundered the FRR. Even Kuritans helped FRR to get rid of them, but the hatred was already in their hearts.

This is directly taken from the 20-Year Update book. FRR has the following mercenaries employed:
1st Kell Hounds at Outpost.
The Outlaws at The Edge.
Black Omen at Damian.
Skinners Scimitar at Alleghe.
Glory Warriors at Skellevoll.

There is a source book called Brush Wars that details a few specifc instances where mercs gave the FRR worlds a less admirable treatment. It's impossible for a large house/republic to operate without the use of mercs altogether, but the FRR is known for a very stern contracts and terms.

We played as FRR that got displaced to ComGuard. with the invasion but FRR wouldn't sell a merc a glass of water.

yep I see the posts and Woodstock would be refering to page 63 Comstar field manual on FRR about mercenary reservations which limited any mercenary to guarded sections of each city. I will takes Carl's word on 20 year update since I dont have that book.

Which obviously means they give them more than just a glass of water, if they are willing to hire them in the first place.
