OK, now i know lots of ppl wont agree witih this suggestion..but i'm gunna make it anyway having just had my Jenner's rear CT shot up by a 'teammate'... having an ORANGE rear CT 5 seconds into a game is a tad too much.

I'm suggesting disabling weapons at the start of a match for 15 seconds. Thats 15 seconds after the 10 second countdown.

This will stop the friendly fire that seems to go on at the start of games...i'm sure anyone playing any decent length of time has had this happen to them. Shot in the back at the start of a game - presumably because the guy in the mech behind is either testing his weapons or just an asshat.

15 seconds is enough time to at least manuevere out of the 'line' that it puts some mechs - i.e. 1 in front of the other...its like a tempting target...far too tempting for some it seems..

This shouldn't affect gameplay at all in a negative way - as even a 150kph jenner couldnt get into range in 15 seconds (well they may do but nothing else will get anywhere near range).

Happens in 1 out of 75+ matches I'm in. When it does happen, I post in general chat that I got critted on the starting line then rush the enemy bast and ship back some quick intel. Exit and start a new match with a repaired mech.

1. It's a suicide farmer
2. It's someone newish or stupid
3. It's someone who means to do it

I see no problems with the idea.

If people would shoot at the ground or away from their teammates there would be no problem.
But, ya, there are some players who don't know that the mouse button fires weapons too.
