Since ECM has been implemented and pretty much ruined the good fighting we used to get, everyone is mostly base rushing.

Here's a better reaction to ECM.

No one fight, everyone constantly run to the others base, the fastest team wins, everyone gets free money, no one loses.

Awesome!!!

I've been seeing this more and more...

I started a few days before the ECM patch. Before ECM, I'd have to fight constantly. It was much harder to to the enemy capture point because it was much easier to get spotted and light up. Now, everyone just hugs the ECM mechs in a massive gang and b-lines it towards the base. I've won and lost matches without firing a single shot.

Yes, please do, it will be that much easier to shoot you if you just walk right into my guns instead of being all sneaky about it B)

If lighter (not necessarily light mechs), faster mechs would respond to base being captured sooner, or leave a heavy/assault mech to defend the base, this would happen less frequently.

or at least you would come out on the winning side more often. B)

Don't know how many we have won in 8v8 because a team was all heavy/assault and could not respond to a light and medium mech sneaking on there base,

The time to capture a base needs to be modified by the number of surviving mechs on a team. If they're all still alive then capture should take about 5 minutes to capture the base, if they're down by 7 mechs it should only take 10 seconds.

I experienced this several times yesterday and generally this is about 1/3 of all my PUG matches since ECM. After I got over the disappointment I realized it was free money so... Not exactly why I play MWO but normally I rarely get what I want.

Or one could, you know, just bash the hell out of each other with big guns, missiles, and lasers, and not worry so damn much about whether one is winning, losing, overpowered, underpowered, cash-strapped, bathing in C-Bills or if ones KDR has dropped 0.01 points.

Yaknow, just enjoy the game?

Is that so damn hard?

Hey. I did not come to this game to have fun.
I want to be all serious and if something goes wrong I want deep, debilitating depression to set in.
You have fun your way and I will suffer in mine.

Yeah tis the most effective way to earn cash there is no doubt about that.

I dropped in a 4 man group last week consisting of a ECM commando a ECM raven and 2 jenner JR7-D's, all with as many streaks as we could mount. all able to go 125kph+. All we did each map is cap rush along the edge of the map, we won every game and never lost.

Occasinally a light or medium would show up to try and stop our cap but with the streak mania we had going on they all fell within 5 seconds and we finished the cap and won. One game a ECM atlas came back to defend and it took us 20 seconds to kill him and we still won.

Almost felt like cheating but not our fault no one defends the base in large enough numbers and has zero communication, and hell we wernt even on voice comms.

I already get enough fake money by playing normally, and when I play I want to blow up some enemy mechs. Your way sounds really boring.
