Hello fellow Mech Warriors,

I have three Hunchback variants. Two of them (AC free) I have mastered. To get the elite skill tree, I had to get a third, so I picked an AC-10 variant. And now, I'm finding it extremely difficult to aim on other people, close and far. There's a delay from when the bullet goes out, so I have to aim ahead to where they will be, and even then it's tough. I'm not complaining, I'm just looking for advice.

Thanks all.

Pretty much what you're doing. At medium to long range leading the target works pretty well. Up close you end up with convergence issues, though.

The netcode issues don't help.

Just takes some practice getting used to it. I can place almost all my shots on target with my AC toting brawlers except for the occasional fluke at close range because the shell converges at a distance of 1000m (or whatever I'm aiming at) instead of leading the target properly.

All you can do now is pray for today's patch , because the biggest problem with ballistic weapons (for now ) is hitbox desinc . If you want to hit something close try going behind him or moving parallel to him m that's how I manage to hit the closest targets... otherwise you really need to lead too much some time.

Just keep using it and your aim will slowly improve. When I started playing I could barely hit the broadside of a barn with any of the autocannons. After a few months I can now nail jenners with an AC/20 from 200m away. You brain slowly gets used to the firing delay.

You can always take out you AC and use other weapons.... Firing the gauss and especially the AC feels a lot like lag shooting in MechWarrior 3.
