All Streakcats need now is someone with ECM to follow them around with it on counter-mode, really.

You mean to say that people should be grouping up, just as they should of been?

Indeed. Take your notions of team play right out of here! Blasphemy I say!

You should tell those Gausscats what for. Or those all-laser Hunchbacks and Awesomes. Or wait, those 4xLL 'Mechs! Wait, the 6x SRM6 Catapults too! Oh, and those quad ballistic 'Phracts!

Streaks not being able to fire at all under ECM is overkill. Canonically, ECM simply turns off their magic auto-hit powers and makes that Streak Cat a simple 6 x standard SRM-2 carrier, not a 'Mech deprived of any firepower whatsoever by mystic ECM voodoo. Not that a light attacking one isn't not gonna have a field day anyway, but at least the pilot doesn't sit there with "LOW SIGNAL" going off on his map and getting peeved that suddenly, he can't play anymore.

I agree. SSRMs should be able to shoot even if they don't have a lock on. That was one thing that kinda surprised me when my brother started to use on his light mech. They should be able to shoot like an LRM, guided mode, or unguided. ECM should not just shut down the SSRMs, but rather make them fire like an SRM instead.

Post this opinion in the ECM Feedback thread here: http://mwomercs.com/...40#entry1555450
I think you have a valid point. Probably would help rebalance SSRMs for the ECM play.

Actually I think that would be great if their streak2's could dumbfire like srm2's when being disrupted by ECM.....They'd still be able to do damage but without the tracking ability they wouldn't be super threatening....just not helpless...I think helpless is a little to much of a nerf for them.

Streak cats were silly due to the amazing amount of knock they caused but thier sheer boatability.

One OP build should be balanced not punishing all SSRMs

Also - SSRMs allowed high pinger like me to have an effective weapon against lights ... come to AU to feel what it is like to take down a laggy light with anything but SSRMs
