Crash In Mechlab After Saving

Every time I configure a Mech and press Save, the Game hangs and I see only a empty Mechlab! After that, I have to restart the Game.
I believe this is a timeout issue. Because every time I rebuild the last config, saving works at the second time. The difference is, the time spent in the Mechlap, without having saved the changes.
After realising that, I have saved my Mech-Config more often, even if I wasn't completely finished building it. Using this workaround, I never had this bug anymore!
Compared to, having this bug every time after a longer configuration session, I strongly believe this is timeout related.

when editing your rmech, remove the devices you're going to change, save the mech design, and go back in and add the new equipment, should eliminate the hang. THere is another post on the forum and basicly the mechlab cant do the recalc of subtracting the items and then adding the new ones, so it just adds the new ones and crashes becauset he mech is too heavy.

Like Lictor, I have no troubles if I strip first, as long as I don't add too much.

So, I:
1. strip it down
2. make no more than 6 changes between saves
3. always save before and after armor changes
4. always save before and after engine changes

I've found working on one individual section at a time, saving before you move to a different section, seems to not crash.

I have had the issue where I place a new weapon in a location and the lab crashes after I save.
When I log back on, the weapon and the cbills are gone. This has happened 3 times now.
I was not overweight.

I was having this problem when swapping out LRMs for Streaks and a guild-mate told me that I need to make sure I have rearmed first. That workaround has worked for me.

I found that what causes my problems is installing newly purchased items. If I only use items I own in my inventory, I'm fine. If I purchase and install a new item, it will hang on the mechlab when I save, forcing me to logout and login. When I return to the mechlab, the new configuration is missing, but the items I purchased and installed are now in my inventory. I can reconfigure the mech to the state I originally changed it to with the new items from my inventory, and save without any issues.

The problem is not weight or the amount of changes. It's about spending money on that mech, and after that mech has been in a battle. Both these conditions must be true for the crash to occur.

modified before launch, no items purchased = no crash
modified before launch, items purchased = no crash
modified after launch, no items purchased = no crash
modified after launch, items purchased = CRASH.

So the best way to get around this bug is to be sure all the items you need are in your inventory. If not, you must restart the client if you used that mech.

EDIT: This has a 100% reproduction rate, and the only common one that I could find.

I get crashes on the modified before launch, items purchased = crash. So this is not it.
