Spent a good portion of tonight just pugging by myself and you know what. It was a lot of fun. No more pugstomps. I'm guessing all the really focused groups are playing 8 mans.

Most fights go down to the last two people and even then they are interesting to watch. All the dead people commenting and giving the gg after every fight.

Considering I don't have to wait for 7 other people to ready up I can get in twice the drops. So even if Iose I'm still earning cbills faster.

On a side note 8v8 has turned into an Atlas fest and kind of a drag. I'm sure that will change with time so I'm not sweating it.

the games i've had at least the ones where there was EMC on both sides seems to have been a lot more even and entertaining.

The biggest problem previously is nobody (including atlas) wanted to walk into view of enemy for fear of getting lightly pelted with lrms (because heavy lrm fire in pug matches is rare).

Now we have full scale engagements from 2-3 minutes in rather than 5-7 minutes of posturing before engagement leading to much more fun :)

I have a clan...but none of them play MWO (yet), so...I'm a pugger myself, for now. I imagine that'll change once we get the community warfare thing going.

It will be a good day to whoop *** for the Captain-General.

indeed...i generally play grp vs. grp drops with clanmates but on occasion play a plug drop and it is definatley more fun than before. I used to log off before i would drop solo in a pug match.
so yeah the matchmaking is doing well at this point.

as a sniper i feel redundant as most matches are brawls of lag so i'm finding less target oppotunities without being swarmed or flanked. one match in snow forest i capped the base after walking out on the river in the open with no one apposing me. they were all playing huddle round the ecm and team stealth their way through cover, both teams met and belted eachothers brains out in a secluided 300m circle, what a waste of a match that was.
