If You Are A Bad Atlas Pilot Then Look Here

Yes shameless self promotion I know. But I'm getting frustrated seeing so many bad atlas builds out there. Even if you struggle piloting an atlas, at least give yourself a chance to do good by having the basics right which means having a good weapon load out.
I'm seeing way too many atlases carrying 2 LL and 1 Ballistic (ac20, lbx10). Yes there are people who load up 2 LL and 1 LBx10 and get into a game with atlas (just played with one). You are on a 100 ton mech and you are carrying weaponry that a 50 ton mech can carry. Where are these guys putting the tons in I wonder? Funniest atlas I've seen so far had 2 LL and 2 MG (yes machine guns), at least he had ECM but bloody hell these weapon builds...
You don't need to copy my builds but if you take anything into heart from the guide is that how much weapons you can fit in an atlas. It's a 100 ton killing machine, stop abusing it like it's a child. Treat it with respect and you get rewarded with many kills and a lot of fun.

But I also have: 1 LRM15 with Artemis, 2 Medium Lasers and a SRM4 with Artemis.
Maybe they forgot to add the rest of their weapons?

Because maybe different people have different playstyles?
For example I can't stand or successfully play the beloved Hunchback.
But give me the not so popular Centurion and feel free to throw any Hunchback you want at me - me is quite confident regarding the outcome.
And one of my most successful Atlas' is the AS7-D with 2xLPL, 2x MPL and and an LRM15 Artemis. Not much firepower on paper, but I do not fear facing dedicated brawling setups with this build. Although my damage output on paper might be really weak, but for an Atlas sidetorso I need less than 10s to scrap it completely - and still running cool.

"Garbage" is a playstyle? Interesting argument. Btw nice sig.
Teammate of me once ran an Atlas RS with 4xMPL and a 400XL engine (CB). And it was suprisingly effective.
IMO 'garbage playstyle' is something else than a 'garbage build'.
Extreme example:
What do I want with a build with dozens of weapons with heat issues?
I prefer less weapons I can use constantly.
And (especially with an Atlas) I always rely on mixed weapons:
One barrage for long range (LRM for example or Dual AC2) and the rest is focussed on brawling.
-> No heat issues since not all weapons get used at all ranges.
My actual DDC just carries a GECM, LRM20 Artemis, 2x SSRM, Dual AC/2, 1x ML and a TAG.
Not much firepower. But still working for me since this mech usually tends to be winning matches.
Just to get me right:
I do NOT say that you are 100% wrong, your builds in your Atlas guide are really well and balanced setups.
But there are other working builds as well out there, other phylosophies which work as well.
But they require a different tactical approach.
There are always pros and cons.

Many players might be misled by the "damage bar" in mechlab.

Does that make me a bad Atlas pilot? I consistently end up as the team's top or second-best damage dealer, and that's enough of an answer.

Why would you think you are a bad atlas pilot? Your build is perfectly fine. Your only problem seems to be low self esteem.
@AntharPrime: I know how DHS are working. Double in engine and 1.4 outside. If there is a bug concerning the DHS then please explain, I'm not aware of any bugs regarding them.
