The mech is just as crappy as the yen lo wang. So far PGI has done a good job keeping the hero mechs from being pay to win.

Cataphracts are gigantic toaster looking targets. Easy to hit. 2 or 3 dual ac 20 hits to the CT and they die.

2-3 dual ac/20 hits to any mech torso and they die. But then, you have to get close enough with your silly Catapult first.

I think the OP is a good benchmark for crazy.

When you say "this mech sucks, I just put 100 damage into its CT and it dies", there's a pretty good chance you're crazy.

Unless he was being sarcastic, in which case he sucks at making points.

someone who has to go out of the way to bash something like this? Yeah... they want it, and are just bitter they don't have one!
(AC/20Cats being one of the easiest things to kill anywhere except tunnels. And Catapults are dang fragile lil things.

i can name you about a dozen build types which can kill the crap out of every 2xAC20 cat.
Only starting with every LRMboat and every Large Laser build which is faster.
I'm planning to use a AC20 on my Cat-2K myself at some time, but only ONE, to use the remaining tonnage to make it faster rather than slower.
