My first online game was Red baron 3d I was hooked in the first 5 minutes. Then I moved to Mech warrior mercenaries, again hook played until game upgrades lagged out my then dial up connection. Next IL2 ( side line of beta testing rise of flight) then on the WoT. In all these game I was an ok player. I would play die play again. IL2 was a long learning curve. But it did not matter. With WoT I got in the week it went open so dealt one game mode and beta issues. .. now we are at MWO. And I’m not hooked. What is the hook for you? To those that have quit and are here just to post negative you can move on. This question is to those that are playing.

Hook? Playing in a mech killing other players. I'm a simple man.

Community Warfare. This is what will generate house vs house and unit vs unit rivalry and keep the game alive long term and give a purpose to the battle other than mindless DM over and over.

This was slated for a dec/jan launch according to last posted official timelines, 90 days after open beta(which have now all been deleted)

So unfotunatly due to their refusing to answer questions about it and locking/deleting all threads that reference it im probably not going to get my "hook" ever, so therefore arnt going to be around for long.

Table Top... Battletech fanboi

if this game doesn't make it, i'll pretend it never existed and just watch the Tinker and Smith trailer over and over until they put me in a box in the ground

the potential is there... so hopefully it will be worth the $120 Founders plus the $450 i just spent on computer upgrades

Hey at least that $450 can come in handy playing other games. I have a month of premium time ticking down right now (was grinding for my Atlases) but I just don't feel like playing. When I want my 15min of fun I just log into WoT.

I am a fan of the Mechwarrior series sínce i bought my first PC 1989 and Mechwarrior was one of the first 2 PC-games i bought with it.
Mechwarrior, the Blazing Aces, Adlib Sound, VGA 8 Bit Graphic, no textures, lowest poly wireframe optic, it was so much outstanding :)

MWO is the first probably good Mechgame since MW3 - the very first ever i can seriously play online now that i have an internet connection that is cheap and good enough to be online for so much time and stay somewhat competitive.
