To clarify, we have two cross-hairs: One attached to weaponry situated in actuating arms, and the other cross-hair is tied to torso/non-actuating-arm mounted weaponry.
TL;DR: The free-moving arm cross-hair is annoying to keep track of when you have no arms or missiles. Can we please have the option to remove it or to completely lock it to the torso cross-hair?
As it stands now, if you have no actuating arms, then your "arm" cross-hair is locked (mostly) to your torso cross-hair. However, the arm cross-hair still has free movement beyond the range of the torso cross-hair. This is useful if you have lock-on based weaponry, as it enables you to continue to track targets which are only in your peripheral vision. Of course, it serves no purpose if you do not have such weaponry (as I do not, usually).
Occasionally this causes problems in extremely fast-paced, intense combat situations, particularly when targeting units significantly above or below your cockpit level. Surely I'm not the only person who has overcompensated for quickly aiming up at an opponent, whereby my torso cross-hair cannot train high enough, but my arm cross-hair will keep going.
Usually when this happens, I will look for a new target, or change directions quickly to be able to re-acquire my previous target. Now, since I naturally only pay attention to the torso cross-hair (because thats really all that matters in a cicada), I'll gauge my next movements according to the current position of my torso cross-hair, not noticing in a fast-paced situation that I need to also compensate for the distance my useless arm cross-hair has previously traveled beyond the range of my all-important torso cross-hair.
While not a game breaker (despite the rather long-winded description. Sorry about that), this has caused me to miss a few opportunities, or on rare occasions, get killed.
So, it would be nice if we had the option to totally lock these 2 cross-hairs together, thereby disallowing the arm cross-hair to leave the range of the torso cross-hair (or, really, to just remove the arm cross-hair all together).
Surely I am not the only person to encounter this issue. Again, not a game breaker, but it would lighten my mental load in fast-paced situations (is there such as thing as slow-paced situations in a cicada?)

note: you can use the Arm Crosshair to acquire missile locks even if the torso cannot flex to do so.

That is correct. I mentioned after the TL;DR section.
That is perfectly fine and I understand why that is there. It's still annoying if you have no missiles (or even missile hardpoints)

It's true, I do see newbs getting wtfbbqpwn'd because they're trying to target with their arms and their guns are shooting elsewhere.
