MechWarrior Living Legends begs to differ
The MW:LL guys with PGIs budget, now THERE would be a game.

Nobody holded a shotgun at MWLL devs heads so that they would not go for finding funding. Get back from fairy tales country, if MWLL wanted to expand to a full scale game, it would have.
And yes, THANK YOU PGI. Really.

Except, you know, licensing fees, and being unable to use the unseen mechs, and the fact that they wouldnt have gotten the rights to Mechwarrior because PSI was working on this...thing.
And the the OP said if it weren't for PGI we wouldn't be playing mechwarrior for another decade, which is stupid because MW:LL was playable before MWO, I am really hoping you arent too stupid to realize that.

I patched today and launched into a match, half the textures were missing... I couldnt even tell where I was in the world or if my mech was on the ground or what.
Sound was stuttering and sounded like a broken radio.
Enemy mechs were flickering around my mech, I was taking damage from god only knows where while walking on a plain grey floor.
The game used to run decently most of the time prior to this patch, just the team balance was a mess... now the whole game is a mess... but hey we can buy ***** Santa Atlas dolls (that probably dont ***** show up anyways).

I would go ahead and report that because I haven't heard of anything like that in MWO.

Maybe it's a little bit of exaggeration putting all together in a single match, but all these things have already been reported, and some are present since a long time.

Except, you know, nobody was stopping them from solving the issues (finding investors, buying or licensing rights for the franchise and so on), gathering money and making a commercially successful game, no? Or the guy with the shotgun actually was there? Get back from fairy tale country, please.

Actually the texture flickering and the sound being broken are well known issues with the last few patches, they have been reported many times.
Hell there is a hot fix that sucks for the G35 headset to ix the sound, but it really should be on PGI to get their crap together XD

Son, go put your helmet back on, you may get hurt without it.
PGI and the MW:LL team were working on their projects around the same time. They couldnt have gotten the license as there was already someone working on it, (The kids at PGI in this case) and it would be utterly stupid to release the license to two folk and split the player base between two games.
