My team was up 3 kills vs 2 kills, no base cap yet. When the timer ran out we lost ? Anyone know if raw damage score decides the win rather which side has more kills? How is victory decided exactly?

Based on how much MC you and your team mates has collectively purchased.

Used to be based on kills but sometime it changed to both parties loose if an enemy remains and you fail to cap in time.

Timer's up with no base cap and no wipeout??? LOL! I've never seen a game end like that before! What you guys doing? Partying at your own corners of the map?

I'm guessing both parties were in their ecm bubble hiding from each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.

I'm curious, too. I was in a game 2 days ago were it was down to 1 vs 1 and we had their base down to ~5% and the timer ran out. It called DEFEAT for us. I thought that was stupid, as the kills were equal, the damage was all over the board, and we had nearly capped their base when they barely even got 10% off ours.

One fast mech getting all their weapons removed and hiding from the last remaining person on their team, which won't leave cap because if he does he loses cause the fast mech can cap before he will make it to either base in time, while also having a DC on one team.

Though if you had more kills, you should have won....

I've also had a time out because it was me vs 3 in my jenner with no SRM ammo and lost my right arm (two med lasers), and while their LRM boat had no ammo and their hunchback had only a small laser, and their atlas was garbage, I couldn't kill all 3 in the 4 minutes I had left >.>

This happened to me earlier this evening (Caustic valley, lots of mexican standoffs and falling back?)

We were up 3 kills vs 2 kills, looked like a clear victory, but it presented me with a Defeat screen instead.

Needs more transparency about win conditions.
