Hi,

I guess if you put "nerf" and "OP" into the threads title you got everything you need for a nice flame war.......


What I am trying to say is:

"Why not put ECM into the COM-3A, COM-1B or COM-1D?"

Is it really a good idea to have it in the 3SSRM2 mech?
It already got an additional energy HP for TAG. So why?
(I mean look at the loved/hated CAT-A1 it has twice the missle HP for twice+5 the tonnage but no TAG)

Further I have a COM-2D because this mech has a unique loadout.
There is no reason other than to get the 2D elite that would make me buy another COM.
Just because the Jenner has the same HP and is just so much better (JJ!).
So I will not buy two useless mechs. I would however buy an ECM COM-3A-1B-1D as an addition to my no ECM COM-2D and then probably get a third to get them elite.



Tl;dr
Put the ECM into another Commado.
The 2D is already a good mech the other variants suck.
So I dont say the 2D is OP - I say the other variants are crap.





Edit: It really worked - The title of this thread is so controvertial people feel the urge to answer before reading my post So again NO THE COM-2D IS NOT OP it was just an eyecatcher

Because it's the one that's absolute garbage without ECM. The other commandos aren't totally invalidated by ECM like the 2D.

you guys are at it again, arguing about symptoms and various other side effects of lag-shielding caused by lack of collision. beyond that none of the hard points variations, the ability to or not to put modules or ecm / bap / tag / narc on a mech makes one shreds bit of impact.

1B: 3xMPL or 1xLL+2xML makes for a nasty punch if you know how to aim.
1D: 2xML, 2xSRM6 is also a nasty combo for a more torpedo-boat like style.
3A is pretty much the same as the 1D in terms of hardpoints, but they're placed differently (the 1D has both energy in right arm, the 3A has one in each arm).

I run my Commandos with an XL195 (135.8kph), Endo Steel, DHS, and as much armour as I can fit.

Maybe I try this. But besides the 2SRM6 I prefer a Jenner for these builds because of the jump jets.
