After so many post regarding FPS and Audio problems I decidet to create a detailed post with all our hardware/software so that maybe PGI can find the information usefull for a debug/replicate purpose.

Motherboard: Asus P5Q - PRO
CPU: Dual Core E8400 @3.6ghz
RAM: OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 GOLD 4gb
Audio: Integrated Realtek AC1200
Video: MSI Nvidia GTX 560 TI 1gb DDR5 -1024x768 to 1680x1050 - windowed and fullscreen same problems
HD: Western Digital Cavier Black 1T
Keyboard G15 Logitech
Mouse Mx518 Logitech
OS: W7-64 SP1, all drivers and bios updated, all directx installed correctly
Antivirus: Nod32
Firewall: Comodo

Untill now I had always FPS problems, before last 2 patch at least I could load game and play it at 30-40fps, but now is almost 3 weeks that game work with or without user.cfg at 60fps on mechlab and when in game drop to 4 - 16 with audio distortion. Already tried all the suggestion found in forum, reinstall/redownload client-game. Full format on new HD still not fixed problem.
Hope that this information and the one from other testers will be helpfull.

Motherboard: MSI Z77A G45
CPU: Core i5 3570K (slightly overclocked)
RAM: 2x4Gb Geil Enhanced Corsa 1600mhz c9
Audio: Integrated Realtek ALC892
Video: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 560 1gb DDR5
HD: Crucial M4 128Gb + Samsung Spinpoint HD204UI 2TB
Keyboard CM Storm Trigger
Mouse CM Storm Inferno
OS: W7-64 SP1, all drivers and bios updated, all directx installed correctly
Antivirus: Avast
Resolution (main monitor): 1920x1200 px

I've experienced a worsening of performance starting from 2 patches ago and I've progressively needed to tweak my graphic options by lowering them to keep decent FPS; before the most problematic map was only frozen city, now almost everywhere I experience fps drops especially when under fire or through smoke effects, that before I could keep at high, now I have to put at medium detail.

After the b' betty introduction, audio stuttering has been introduced as well and often causes also FPS stuttering in conjunction.

@ Plague.. please report also the resolution, otherwise it's difficult to understand performance.

So not a visible hardware dependancy on the audio trouble, at least Flanker did you have good fps ?

my fps is definitly worse than before, but I dont have any trouble per say (40 -50 fps average). My audio on the other hand is the worse thing happening in this game to me at the moment. I am fine with everything else, I knoe the devs are doing their best. But the audio stutter is VERY noticeable.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 3770k @4GHz
8GB DDR3 1600 MHZ Ram
GTX 460 1GB
Gigabyte GA-Z77X UD5H motherboard (thats realtek 898 codec sound)
Windows 7 64-Bit
Antivirus: Norton Internet Security
HDD: Sandisk Extreme 240GB SSD
Resolution: 1440x900

hope this helps!

Tested in the very simplest way, just disable audio card from windows and let game startup, still no FPS improvement, always under 10-8 while turning around so at this point I don't really think is just audio related but more core software depending.

S!

Plague, my FPS varies quite a bit. MWO is by far the most demanding for my rig along with IL-2 Sturmovik - Cliffs of Dover. That game is a bug heap.
