I cannot say i am new to the Mech Warrior universe. A few Years back when I was working at Misty Mountain Games in Madison Wisconsin, We had the priveledge of getting 8 of the famous Battletech Battle Pods. I must tell you, great fun was had by all. We had many of the core group of Chicago Battle Pod guys showing up on a fairly regular basis. I saw that MWO was coming about and I was quite happy.

I downloaded it recently and was instantly taken back to those day inthe Pods. My only -MINOR- issue is the controls, as I do not have the rig set up like the pods. I good gaming pad will cure that in the very near future.

I am hoping that we will see many more variants in the future, the current list is well thought out and great for people who want to get the feel of the game. While it isn't the pods, it is about as close as you are going to get to them. I could see someone getting the specs on them and redesigning the pods with this game quite easily, or doign a home brew pod.

All and all gang, I guess I am saying KUDOS!! I look forward to alot of game time and working my way into a good mech.

Welcome to MWO. It's good to see positive feedback. The guys at PGI really deserve it.

On another note, there is a thread floating here complete with photos of a guy who turned his walk-in closet into a battle pod. It is complete with MW(2?) sound effects. Pretty neat. I'll post the link if I find it.

These are the only two i found that created the cockpit thingy. If i had the time and money I probably would do something like this.
