keep your Hunchie. Not all Mechs are carrying ECM and a well equipped Hunch is a strong in fighter. needed to kill an ECM carrier quickly.

Unless you're hurting for mechbay slots or really hate the hunchback I'd keep it.

The non-atlas ECM mechs fully upgraded can run mostly the same speed, so it really comes down to hardpoints. If you want a ministreakboat, go commando, but know you'll die quickly if someone lands a couple shots. If you want missles + lasers, go Raven, if you want ballistics + lasers go cicada.

i dont know what i should do since my prefered playstyle isnt viable anymore.

Put TAG on your head.

Try swapping out the LRMs or a pair of SRM 6s w/Artemis. Drop a standard 245 engine in along with ES and DHS and you can mount 4 or 5 med/small lasers to make a very strong skirmisher (or flanker or whatever you want to call it).

I'm in a similar sitch with my awesome. Can't stand back and PPC without getting swarmed by sneaky lights, and with the turn speed of an awesome you're toast up close no matter what you're packing. So that's going on the block.
A hunchiebob should still be viable if you have decent engine.

Keep it an adapt.
Hunchies are great mechs.
You may have to draft a heavy or assault more, or get with another medium mech so you guys can work together.

Team work is key, especially now that ECM has hit the table.

I have a few fire support builds that are similar Eric.

The trick is to hang out with the rest of the fire support or be close enough to your front line to where you can drag those pesky lights into the rest of your group faster than they kill you.

Its nice to sit at max range but sometimes because of the team composition you may need to get a little closer.

And ShadowThunder, seriously, put TAG on your head it will fix your problem. TAG is even getting buffed in a patch or two so you can tag at further range.
