I'll be polite but blunt...

I'm upset... Very upset...

A month ago when I started playing this game... It was playable on my pc. I'm well over the minimum specs...

The last 3 patches not so my much...

I paid for premium time that I can't use right now. Yes I realize it's a beta. Yes I can understand things are being worked on.

From a customer stand-point (in beta at least).... Add in an option to stop or pause the premium counter. Otherwise true mech fans like myself feel ripped off....

End of rant/suggestion

Make it count off a day minimum each time you press it. Surely that wouldnt be too bad.

do you get to shut off your cable bill if you aren't home and watching it?

Don't expect to see such options here either. They gave people the option to hit 'premium on'.. Most people who had that button probably knew the state of the game when they clicked it. PGI warned 'no buyers remorse', so, at this point, it's a suggestion that won't happen. We were lucky to get the 'activate premium' button as it was.

He bought premium time, not using his bonus founders time. So the activate button rebuke is invalid. So is the paying for cable one. If the cable company had issuses and you were without service for 4 days you would expect some kind of compenstation/reimburshment. It's not that you were not home to watch cable, the service you paid for was unavailable to use. His point is that at the time of his purchase he was able to play the game properly. Now for whatever reason the most recent patch(es) has rendered the game unplayable. So it's not that he isn't home to play the game, but the game is unavailable for him to play.

My suggestion is that you submit a ticket asking for your premium time back from when you first submited your support ticket reporting your problems with the game. Assuming of course you've submitted tickets reporting your issue of playablity since the patch(es).

I agree that we should not be charged for premium time we don't/can't use.

Currently you are correct, but only because the system assumes that premium time will tick away while you are not playing. If instead the system assumed premium time ticks away only while you play, then stopping premium time when you aren't playing would NOT be abusing the system.

That is why I want PGI to change the system from a pay-for-real-time system to a pay-for-played-time system. I explain why this is both better for the players and will generate more revenue for PGI in my post: http://mwomercs.com/...se-mwo-revenue/

I can see how this would get abused - however if they put in a pause after the month is over option I think it could work.
Say you have 90 days of premium time and activated today 12/13/12. You could hit the pause but it wouldn't take effect until after 30 days of your 90 had expired on 1/13/12 (or maybe end of the month, 12/31/12).

That way you can at least control it if you know you won't be playing much - most subscriber games work that way. You pay for the month, and you can cancel/stop subscribing - but it waits til the end of the month to take effect.

Think about it PGI :P

I don't buy cable TV either for much the same reason.

I would suggest keeping in touch with their Support team on your issues, and maybe if they are aware of them and ultimately fix them perhaps they would be willing to add in lost time due to your issue. But you gotta help them with fixing your stuff by communication with their support team.

I am not against a ON/off button for premium time but if they were going to do it it would have to make sure it was not abused. The only way I can see a ON/off switch working is every time you hit the switch it takes 2 days of time off. so if you have 30 days and stop it you would be down to 28 days. Then when you restart it it would be down to 26 days. That way people can not turn it off every night or off if they are going to be gone 1 day without costing themselves extra. With this method it would only be worth stopping premium time if you were going to be away for more then 4 days. I really am not to worried about it though as I am just leaving my premium off as all the mechs I like that are out now are mastered, I have all the moduals and cbills are still just flowing in without premium.
