If the ECM setup as-is is going to stay, TAG might be in need of a serious re-work. Currently, you have to bind it to a key, sacrifice an energy hardpoint, and constantly keep firing it (tying up at least a finger, or possibly using a macro) just to keep an ECM covered target lit up.

Here is my suggested change to make it a little simpler on the TAG user's end.

1; Turn TAG into an always on system, perhaps make the beam only visible in alternate vision modes (infra/night vision).

2; Either make the TAG beam not require an energy weapon slot and use an 'equipment' slot, much like AMS OR: even alter the AMS slot into an equipment slot. I think the second option is overall -better- but harder to implement, possibly requiring new art resources if you add a TAG model to that hardpoint. Either way it needs to track to the arm crosshair at all times.

3.; Make the TAG beam independent of all arm/torso locations and simply track to the arm crosshair at all times.

In doing so it might be possible to leave the range alone, negating the risk of long range missile boats simply loading on a TAG for general purpose usage. 750 meters of being able to tag your own targets is a fair amount of distance with increased accuracy for only 1 ton/crit and no heat.

Please move feedback relating to TAG and ECM into the ECM feedback thread so it's easier to read for everyone. =P
