While I read quite a lot of folks claiming stuff on this combo, I am curious on how exactly do they set this pair up, the ammo loads, and the fire sequence, it can't be as simple as chain fire mode only right? Please advice accordingly?

It depends on what you're facing. Against heavier mechs, chain fire the AC/5s in one group and the UAC/5s in another. Against smaller mechs, you can skip the chain fire but keep the groups. It's easier to manage.
