You can have your BS "green slots = srm slots unless you have ECM too" device.

Just give an ECM slot to all the founders' mechs.

Or better yet, give it to all mechs, but only for legendary founders.

Then we can call it even.

Jenner D was going to get ECM... until the entire forum exploded with rage about how that was OP....

Looks like they picked the wrong mech to QQ about and forgot about the 3L... I'm still angry at the forums for that... But I'm angry at PGI who thought the Jenner D shouldn't get ECM because of the missile slots (and it currently be OP at the time) but green-lighted the 3L to be totally fair.

Look at how much hate the Raven gets.
Can you imagine if it had jumpjets, a larger engine, and another laser hardpoint?

Then again, Jenners seem to die faster then Ravens, so perhaps it wouldn't have been so bad.

it would be worse if the jenner D got the ECM. It has 4 laser hp and 2 missiles and can support a 310 size engine. The raven 3L is bad but this would have been horrible.

Here's a radical idea for ECM: Make it counter BAP, TAG and NARC, reduce lock range by 25%, regardless off BAP/pilot skills, increase locktime by 25%. Drop the hiding bubble, it should only work for the mech it is equipped on., but only as a counter to electronic warfare. ECM should be like flares on planes.

It already flat out makes Narc (something that is already useless) useless. It also messes with TAG, and BAP is just... ... bleh.

And it would be RETROACTIVE pay to win, which is a whole different thing.

And I really doubt that even ECM could redeem my poor founder's Hunchie... maybe if they gave it two extra slots in each arm (any type would be fine).

Can you imagine that the Jenner D with ECM would be probably the only hard counter to 3L's? (but not really, it would just add to the chaos)
What difference does it make if people use 4 3L's, or 4 Jenner D's, or a combination of the two? It's all the same..
Extra laser hardpoint? Useless
Larger Engine? Useless
Jumpjets? Useless
ECM + Streaks? That's the deal breaker.
Jenner D can use streaks. The Raven can use streaks. The raven has 3 modules slots. The raven has more armor. The Raven can run just as fast as the Jenner. So, yea. I think if the Jenner-D got ECM it wouldn't be the end of the world.
