I know discussion about multiple monitor support has been made but I could find anything as I am about to mention.

For me, since I like to scout, multiple monitor usage would be different. I would like to have multiple monitor support so I can pin the Map Screen (;) in the second monitor. This way I can have it open when scouting and reporting to my team. Right now, the Map screen blocks out my screen and cuts off my view when I open it. The time lag between opening it and reporting on a target is not long enough (target disappears) and I end up vulnerable during that time.

Also make so the control keys still work while the map is open. Stearing within the map view would also be useful.

Thanks,

A

I really like this suggestion. It would make the job of being a commander easier too since I could look at the battle map issuing orders while still piloting my mech.

Do any other games do this?

I see this request for every new game I play/test and have yet to see it ever happen.

I think I saw someone say some flight sim does it. But as far as I remember that was only because it ran all the elements in separate windows. I dont know how else you would do it but that isnt cool.

supreme commander did that.
You basically had 2 cameras to use and could zoom out one of them to the max to work as a map screen.

You could even just make the map see through - give it a transparancy value you can mod in options would allow you to do both even on 1 screen...
