This suggestion goes along with the competitive threads... but could a practice - skirmish option between 2 teams of 4 and 8 players be implemented? This would allow for league matches and for team practice.

I would understand if these matches reward no cbills (and imo, they shouldn't award any cbills as this would be broken and open to abuse). Perhaps, however, the costs of repairs could be negated or discounted at a 50%.. the costs of playing league or practicing?

An alternative to damage repairs and a way to keep people interested in playing the normal open matches, would be that there would be a fee to play a practice or skirmish match such as 25,000 cbills per participating member and, of course, the open matches would reward cbills upon win / loss.

Thanks!

I like the idea of being able to load an open map and practice without any risk of repair costs. Right now there is no way, other than a live game, to get accustomed to controls and the way weapons fire.

Benefits of an open map to practice:

--testing different loadouts of your mech
--jump jet practice
--target practice
--maneuver drills with your team
