Sometimes I start a match and as soon as I have control of my mech, I notice that my mouse control is consistently drifting to one side. This makes it rather difficult to aim, and even a bit difficult to navigate/steer.
As soon as I die, the mouse cursor pops up for spectator mode, and it does not drift at all.
Is this a bug, and should I report it as one?
Notes:
1) I use a Logitech G5 gaming mouse. It's a bit old... the scroll wheel is starting to get fussy from heavy use, but I've previously had no problems with it.
2) I thought perhaps there was some hair or debris in front of the laser. It has happened before, though in all cases previously it has caused erratic movements, rather than steady drift. On checking the sensor, I detected no debris, dust, or dirt. Additionally, regaining perfect control of the mouse cursor on mech destruction leads me to believe that it is a software issue, not a hardware one.
3) I thought perhaps it was a feature... like a critical hit on the gyro equipment. However, it happens at match start, from a mech at 100% repair status.
