don't feed the trolls.

Besides, the stock Charger is the best mech ever.... (barely beats out the Urbanmech though) :P

Wrong, there are reseen versions that are perfectly legal to use. End of subject.

The Marauder is better. Period.

(Though its reseen-artwork is as fugly as the Whammie's).

Try not to get to stuck on the Unseen/Reseen folks. This is MWO, not BattleTech/Sarna. The only thing that determines what Mechs are or are not included are the decisions of the Devs. Anything is possible and everything that can increase game revenues is likely. Warhammer is popular and has high potential for revenue generation as a Hero Mech even if not obtainable through normal means. I'd buy one and I expect several others would too.

Let's cut to the chase and talk about the best choice for the next Heavy Mech that was omitted from a recent survey in another popular thread...the Warhammer! Warhammer is far and away the best Heavy in the game. It is versatile and can lay down Assault grade damage on the battle field better than any other Heavy out there. The Warhammer is in most everyone's top 3 Heavy Mechs and it is simply the best choice for the next Heavy Mech.

See details here: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Warhammer

It's also armoured with paper and glue.

Your point makes no sense. While MWO can not use the orginial Warhammer visual design, as they don't have the legal rights to use them, there is nothing stopping them from creating a model based on the Reseen designs as the rights to them are owned FASA (or whoever owns Battletech these days.)

Well, no Mech is perfect.

Your right actuator is off! No it isn't! Look! It's just a slight armor wound.

I loved taking the MG's and lasers off the Warhammer and loading it up with heatsinks. So sad it's unseen because it would really good in this game. Especially with red camoflouge.

Well other Heavies that are in the top are Archer, Orion, Marauder, Jagermech, Rifleman and Warhammer. As for the Warhammer, seen/unseen who gives a rat's arse since you could do the HammerHands and call it good.

Indeed - personally, I would prefer a Hammerhands to a Warhammer (though, a Marauder would trump either :P).

And there apparently exists no canon Warhammer variants that mounts ACs instead of energy weapons in its arms, so it is not a matter of getting a Warhammer (if implemented) and sticking ACs in the arms to make a faux Hammerhands...

...and someone else will make the case for the Orion and someone else will make the case for the Black Knight, etc. Sorry I don't really see the point of making a separate topic for your particular favorite. If we start that we'll have the forum covered in dozens of these.

I would love to see this mech in the game, as well as every other of the "unseen" mechs. Even though they are different from the originals, It would have a positive reaction from most of the community as a whole to be able to own and use these mechs. Example for me is the Rifleman, not the best heavy mech in the game by a long shot, but damn if I wouldn't train day and night in that thing to became the best pilot I could be in it:)

maybe the Warhammer is one of the unseen but did you forget that it was one of the three mechs in the first clip about mechwarrior?
Sure they switched from singleplayer to multiplayer but for myself I take this as a kind of promise that it will be included. :P

Flashman would eat the warhammer alive. Besides its unseen so its not really a choice. That is all. I need to go make 15 threads for my personal favorites because the universe should revolve around me. Everyone knows that.

The problem is that, as soon as piranha puts the name of a previously unseen in the game, the hounds will smell fresh blood (money), and will try to bog the game in legal paperwork.
And thats a risk PGI cant take lightly.

Enjoy the mechs we got, soon with the clans, a bucketload of great designs will arrive and lots of fun for evabody will be possible.
