I don't know how many others here are like me, but I come from a RTS background and moving the mouse quickly is ingrained into my gamer senses (ie must out-micro the other guy and flank his units). This does not translate well to piloting a mech. My reticle usually sails past my intended victim because moving the mouse quickly does not move the cursor the same distance if it is moved slowly, even if it moves the exact same disance on your mousepad.

For a little more 1:1 like mouse movement, go to your control panel and Mouse Options. From the Pointer Options tab, uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision."

Hope this helps.

A gaming mouse with sensitivity presets that you can change with the push of a button helps, too.

Also disable mouse cursor acceleration. Mouse sensitivity IS adjustable in the user.cfg as well, but I know nothing about that
