This has been getting irritating and seems to happen at random, but the yellow tint of when you initially get the view of ur cockpit at the start of ur match doesn't go away and basically makes you useless. Sure, you can pilot your mech but u can't see anything and of course none of ur displays for ur speed, heat, weapons, etc. are there. A problem like this should have been taken care of long ago in closed beta, as this is a huge problem. Anybody still experiencing this?

First of all, just because you think, "should of," doesn't mean, "is."

Any way, you can shift+f11 to turn off your HUD and at least the yellow goes away... still sucks tho.

Really helpful feedback right here...

Seriously though, grammar correction on a forum? If you understand what i'm saying, then what does it matter?

P.S. should of is not even correct grammar... Should've = Should have. Which btw is correct.

isn't it should have? I thought he was correct in OP. should of sounds wrong.

Yeah, I get this every so often. Makes me want to punch babies.

Edit: "should have" is correct. Kind of funny when a grammar natsee gets it wrong and looks like a doofus x2.

Hmm, how is this working as intended, can you quote the dev who said that? I have only heard of people complaining about this since the most recent patch. I assume you are not being serious.

Ya i'm kidding and pointing out that the devs would rather release new mechs than fix known problems.

It was not a grammar correction. Your opinion that this, "Should have," been fixed is irrelevant because it is not fixed. i.e. It, "is," not so. Open your mind to reality and don't be limited by your preconceptions.

Um, it was not a grammar correction, it was a, "Here's what's real and doesn't relate to your opinions," correction... Just because one thinks that something, "Should of," or, "Should be/have been," does not mean that the thing actually, "is." Inserting your opinion doesn't always make things better or more actual.

The entire idea of "general discussion" is to voice opinions of this game. My opinion is this SHOULD HAVE been fixed. Of course it is not so, or else this entire topic wouldn't exist in the first place. You sir, as well as your fancy cover up of a bad grammar correction, need to take it down a notch.

lol... so... he has preconceptions... after playing? Wouldn't that be post-conceptions? I think he opened his mind to playing the game and then got punched in the face by one of the many graphics glitches, then afterward developed conceptions that something like that shouldn't be happening as frequently as it does in a released-to-public state.

At least his opinion has a purpose and point. You opinion of not having 'preconceptions' doesn't even really apply to the situation. You make no point, state no facts other than some mystical sounding mumbo jumbo about his wants don't matter to the universe because they're just wants. Which is given. However, his wants matter to a game company and publisher because he's a customer, and he's pointing out a rather ugly product flaw.

Do you listen to a lot of Tool or something?

Very well, continue to cry about, "Should have."

And let me remind you Zero Neutral this. Whether it was a grammar correction or not, this one simple statement is all you should need to quiet down. Now, I posted this as a reminder to both the playerbase and Developers of this problem and to vent about this annoyance. Moderators should be closing this topic if we continue to talk about something so silly.

So, I'm going to ignore anything related to this now, have fun.

The new yellow vision mode is based on what it looks like when someone pees on your cockpit. Realism.

Have you people played with your field of view config numbers. I set mine to 120 I had Yellow Screen, set it to 90 Yellow Screen went away. I set it to 83 don't like the view feel like I need to be more in the Mech (I pilot a Dragon) going back to 90.

I had the gold screen once last night. It was the first and only time in over 300 matches since the start of OB.

If you don't have a license to teach english or any other forum of grammar then you shouldn't be trying to correct anyone.

back on topic. I have had this problem before, but it didnt have an affect on me getting kills.

I've had the gold screen twice now. Both times was when my drop put me immediately by the base unit. I mean immediately adjacent. One of the times I was actually stuck to the base and couldn't break free until I took some hits from some LRMs. It seemed like the clipping mechanism let me actually get meshed into the base itself.
