Hey guys,

How about including a water cannon as an equipment option on all mechs (perhaps like CASE and BAP) that serves the function of cooling down mechs. It would only be a ton or two and maybe take up an energy slot. It would not affect the user at all but would serve to cool down a friendly mech that's being sprayed. I can see this being put to good use by organized teams to increase their overall effectiveness. I know it's not canon, but with the non-canon changes this game already has made (ecm serving as aecm, all mechs having slave C3), a water/coolant cannon wouldn't be out of MWO bounds and could serve as a really good way to make high energy weapons more viable. The coolant cannon doesn't have to be that dramatic in its effects and would definitely have a limited supply of 'ammo.' I think its something the devs should at least consider and would become another trait unique to mechwarrior.

Coolant cannon seems to be a type of coolant flush which the Devs have already said won't happen.

lol

All of the non-canon stuff they've done has been based on canon.

There is no need to invalidate trigger discipline by adding coolant flush or this water cannon.

Yup, I think it's a cool idea anyway, kind of the opposite of a flamer. Can't you see a Jenner circle-spraying his Awesome buddy so he can stay in the fight? lol

The biggest problem with any sort of cooling cannon is you would have to have it cost weight per use. Who is really going to carry 5 tons of coolant?

Gonna be fun
Especially with coolant and water.Atlas firing being cooled by another atlas with this gun firing coolant at him? B)

Since the devs have outright stated they are not adding cooling pods I doubt they would add fluid guns.

Coolant pods don't work because the pressurized nature of the system destroys your cooling system.

Also

Coolant trucks require a truck, and are probably too slow to be of much use in battle.

I'd much rather have a mobile field base to allow for repairs during a match then coolant flush systems.

That would be fun only if it is mounted in the low center torso.

I'd even play that just for the joy of the appearance.
