Are they going to be represented in the game as more than just a decal on a mech?

I mean, are we going to pick factions in game too and what limitations or benefits will they have on each factions members? House specific mechs/varients, chat rooms or auto match bias?

I confess while I have played and loved most Mechwarrior games on PC in the past, I know little of the lore and picked this house because I like purple a lot!

Did you read the dev blog 1 yet? http://mwomercs.com/...munity-warfare/

By joining a faction, you fight for the faction against players from other factions for control of planets. House Marik might find itself in a war against the Lyran Commomwealth in the start, for example.

I too am hoping that all factions have advantages and disadvantages. Some houses are more offensive in nature and others more defensive in nature. All have House specific Mech that they build. I feel these things and more should be in the game. They could even do something like once the game launches... you pick your faction to play and everyone gets to pick one free house specific mech to start with that the other houses cant get.
