I'd consider a hero commando, it would be the best money maker. Well, besides a 20 ton

So far the only cockpit item i would gladly buy is another Dawn. All others are crap. I was looking forward to banners but not only they are ugly - they are also invisible in many mechs i use (located in blind zone under right leg in lights for example).
Patterns - pc gamers black is 2nd blackest black ingame currently and i dont feel like spending 750 mc on blackest of the black.

I would be interested in buying a few items, and i have the MC to do so. But I want to keep it in reserve. Buy more MC you say? I would, and will, as soon as the threat and betrayal of moronic 3rd person play goes away.

You know they never said that they where actually doing it right? They only said that they where talking about it to see if its possible. If its not, it won't be implemented. (And considering how most of the dev team doesn't even want it anyway, the chance of it ever seeing the light of day is slim to none. More then likely none.)

When they state once and for all that mode isn't going to be in, then I'll buy more MC. Till then, I am not going to put any more money forward for a something that might turn into 3rd person cheese game.

I agree with all of this, make the prices a bit more reasonable and I will spend my MC. Yes I bought some as a non-founder (found out about the game 2 days after founder closed and wanted to support it).

I don't think you understand. The chances of it being implemented are <1%. That's pretty much a fat "no". They're just not moving it completely off the table just in case some kind of "thing" happens where it CAN happen with out ruining the game or segregating the community. Until then, its pretty much a guaranty that you won't see it.

I dont need any mechbays, but if i did that is all i would bother burning MC on.
Hero mechs - none of them interest me in the least.
Cockpit items - the cost are utterly ridiculous for items that are pure fluff.
Paint schemes/patterns - I have painted my mechs jet black all over and i am happy with it. No desire to make my mech look like a fairy.

Isn't that kind of the point? To only offer things for MCs that aren't a forced necessity? If you have no desire to buy these things, all it does is prove that the currently available MC rewards are not forced at all. Imagine the outcry if it was otherwise!

Please add some more things for a reasonable price.

Some more things like ... <example that piques your interest>

Obviously the things offered are intriguing to other people, but not to you - so what things would be of interest to you? Its all about diversity, but at the same time not being forced or bringing any advantage and best something you can "show off" to other players..

I could go to canadian tire and buy xmas lights and a snowman for less than what PGI is charging, and then I'd have it in every mech if I hung it on my monitor.

Ditto on the paint.

Hero mechs suck. No mech should be MC only. Hero mechs should be removed completely, instead PGI should make them variants and then simply charge a 3000 MC "fee" to heroize a mech of YOUR choice, giving that mech a permanent 30% cbill bonus, and a choice of 1 custom skin.

As it is now, all I buy or plan to buy is mechbays. I might need more time to farm GXP, but with 100,000 XP costing 6000 MC to convert to GXP, that is way to much to even be bothered spending.

I understand PGI's income model, but their prices are through the roof ridiculous imho.

Wrong. I have NEVER seen XMAS stuff in anyone's cockpit. NEVER. Ask in global in any match if anyone has XMAS stuff in their cockpit yourself, 95% would say no. Why? Because its just way too damned expensive for what it is. Nobody ever said it was forced, but the whole point of them, is to give you aesthetic value if you wish to purchase them - and currently that value does not outweight its MC value. Not by a long shot according to the overall community.

People say the ECM needs a nerf, well, the MC prices of the XMAS stuff needs a serious nerf.

When it comes to buying extra mount's/costumes/pet's etc in other games i waste my money all the time, in MWO i pay for premium time and i did buy the phranken skin but wasn't awake when i purchased and didn't realise i was not going to own the skin.

What would i like to spend my money on,

Hero mechs: just seem too expensive for what they are.

cockpit items: i would like to own most of them but again at their current prices won't buy any. if they were a fraction of the cost i would buy most and swap every now and again.

Skins: These should be like the PC gamer skin you buy once and then can transfer between mechs.

Colours: same with colours these should be purchasable once you have you keep that colour, i would like to change the colour of my mechs frequently but not going too with the current system.

For me it's a case of perception, at the current markup i feel it's just priced too high so won't part with anymore cash apart from premium time every now and again, if the prices where alot lower and in the case of the skins ownable then i would have both hero mechs, most cockpit items, and 3/4 skins plus colour's.
$0 at current prices vs $ god only knows at lower.

Well ... I have and some people in this thread even mentioned that they got the lights etc.. So the stuff does get bought, because the incentive and pricing is acceptable for some. Obviously it is not for you and you didn't mention any alternatives that would be interesting for you, so by not buying you are doing the only smart thing. Demonstrating that you (and by your count 95%) of all other players find the pricing is too far off.

Premium time, mech bays, hero mechs (well maybe just one hero mech) and converting XP to GXP are well worth the money. Everything else is definitely consigned to the more money than sense bin.

Add the flashing Christmas lights for a challenge. Total distraction. As if there aren't enough things flashing in my cockpit.

Add the Christmas Tree too. The lights on it go blinky-blinky.

I use my MC this way:

and

- cockpit items - way too expansive for me
- I did paint 2 mechs, but used mostly free or Cbill paints, - the cost for paints that are not permanent are way too high for me
- premium mech, well, I enjoy high speed mechs, and I dont find YLW and ILYA interesting for me.
So, - I'll wait for new options or new prices.

Wait until the merc corps get going and require you to have a certain pattern, paint and decals on each of your mechs so they can look all uniform when they march into battle....

Sorry still not in the mechlab, so cant comment on other stuff, but in my many, many, many deaths while surfing through cockpits, i have seen fairies and snowmen, but dont recall any other decorations.

You have more faith than I do, that's for sure. The fact that it was even brought up as a possibility is enough to make one vomit.
