"Porrima has abundant, but not overwhelming, supplies of industrial metals, gemstones, and arable land. The first settlers to the world were ready to build a thriving colony on the calm world they'd seen as part of the survey.
Unfortunately Porrima had its own ideas. Every sixty-two years Chira (a neighboring world) orbits closely to Porrima and affects the weather patterns. Instead of the calm breezes and abundant sunlight they'd been expecting, the colonists faced hurricanes, thunderstorms, powerful lightning strikes, and heavy rains that quite literally washed away the first settlements."

And now I want a map that takes place during that cycle. How freaking sweet would that be?

With random PPC damage dealing lightning bolts! I wonder if they could do that with the engine, and make winds powerful enough to mess with a mechs jump jets so they fly off course, hmm....

not only jump jets, but everything... imagine: you fire salvo of 30 missiles and instead of hitting enemy mech, they just being sucked up by tornado, including your tagging friend in commando, and before you manage to escape, rocks and trees start to rain on you, along with vehicles and building parts all supported by lighting and groats, and before you know it, your being sucked by tornado as well and kicked into air, half mile above the ground
