The ratio with Atlas vs Awesomes, if you exclude trials - is probably 10-20:1.
Now Atlas got the ECM and Awesome did not. This makes just no sense. The heaviest, and most played - "the best" Assault mech, got even better via ECM.

The underdog got screwed.

Stalker is also getting ECM, AFAIK. Awesome must be added to the list. 9M is a natural choice for the fastest speed.

well... people are just to dumb to realize the awesomes potentioal, esspecially the 9M's.
With ECM this thing will be a beast, while As7 seems is ok with ECM, in my opinion

In my opinion, Atlases were shunned and laughed at before ECM.

They were often used as bait and often they were completely abandoned as soon as the shooting started.

ECM has changed that attitude.

And to cap it off, the Awesome is still more popular than the Atlas from what I've seen in pug matches.

Syllogy, most of the Awesomes you're seeing are trial awesomes, and have been so since before the last patch, if I recall.

Second, to Artefex from Sarna: Don't worry, you only have to wait 7 years.

AWS-9Q - A basic upgrade introduced in 3057 for the 8Q and 9M Awesome, the heat sinks are upgraded to double heat sinks and are reduced to nineteen. The saved weight is used to add a fourth PPC to the 'Mech as well as a Guardian ECM Suite. BV (1.0) = 1,623, BV (2.0) = 1,875

This is the Awesome I was hoping for! The 9m just sucks, hardpoint wise, and the 8Q is just too slow.
