Hello! New here. Grew up playing mw2-mercs and others in my time. Can't believe I stumbled upon this.

A couple years back I remember reading around on a possible Mechwarrior reboot and the devs/companies clashing in lawsuit problems. Then that Mechwarrior 5 trailer came out and thought this can't really be happening..

Got sick of playing DayZ.... so figured I would search up again to see where the MW community has gone, now there's this?! wth, this is awesome! Completely stoked out of my mind, can't wait to play. Saw the videos and it looks like an amazing game. While awaiting for the game to download, figured I would read around on the board.

You'll see alot of moaning and groaning in the forums people complaining alot but the gameplay isen't nearly as bad as they make it out to be. So have fun and report the bugs when you find em. It gets better every week

true enough i'm sure that many think i'm one of those trolls but this game needs to survive somehow so i'll help. welcome and get stuck into it hope you like the game and i hope it meets your expectations. yes there are bugs but in time it will be iorned out. so have fun and i hope this is the game you've waited for!

There is a reason for all the whining , game is a joke.

Considering 100's of people cant even join a game without ctd , don't listen to the fanboi's the game is broken and the devs are useless

Actually, the gameplay is more than ok. It's the performance and netcode that is a joke.

Sorry your having a bad experience but what does this possibly contribute to the OP as a new member?

Also, since youve been posting about leaving since approx the 20th....just go? That or return to your dwelling under the bridge.

Take your time, ask questions......Stick close to your team mates and try not to get frustrated. The trial 'Mechs are not ideal, and often will fall short when matched up to a custom build.. But they are free, with no ammo or repair costs. Use them as a learning tool, try to master heat management and by the time you can afford your own 'Mech you should be well prepared.

The computer game is MechWarriorOnline the forums play MechWhinerOnline. Play the computer game not the forum game and you should have fun.

The game is quite buged and unfinished at the moment (it's in beta afterall), but I love it nontheless. I got nearly 1000 games played already. PGI has some great core set-up for this game, but they have a lot of work ahead of them, to make this thing right. I just hope they take their time, listen to what community has to say, etc....

It's definitely a unique game and I love the combat. I hope they don't release the game before Q2 2013, because I don't think it can be ready by then, unless PGI has already done most of the work and are just waiting for the implementation...

Watch the tutorials while you download the patches, and be sure to get TS3 and get on a server, people in voice chat are very helpful when learning the game.
