It just allows you to keep selection on a target that passes out of your FOV. It doesn't affect target locks, as you need to keep your reticle on the target in order for it to stay locked.

The 360 module should just be removed and its abilities given to BAP instead.

No 360 module will not make your already childish to use lockon weapons even easier to use.

I don't think it does a whole lot for missile locks really. With it you will have that 3second grace period before you lose lock extend to when a mech disapears off your radar because it got behind you, but if you don't get the cross hair back on the red square your lose lock like normally.

basically if they get behind you, you can still see them on radar even if no other friendly is looking at them, Normally what would happen in that case is that their signal would be lost. It's just like a 360 line of sight for targetting.

it will still allow you to retain a clear signal on where the target is when it passes behind you, even if none of your team mates have LOS on it... can come in handy for an atlas getting harassed by a light mech

Or as a scout trying to maintain targeting info for LRM locks.

I think it is a very good (but not great) addon, and highly recommend it for assaults or scouts.

I wouldn't recommend it because of the GXP and cbill cost. It really isn't worth 15000GXP imo. Unless you have a ton of GXP I would just not bother and hold onto the GXP and wait for possibly better modules.

Not to mention that's what BAP is supposed to do anyway..... 360 degrees of mech detection within its radius no matter what.

/sigh. Why is ECM so amazing and BAP so lame by comparison?

Seems like it's more for scouts, making it easier for them to keep things targetted for the LRM boats while running away.

Why do they have to be equally awesome...just because they're the same size/tonnage? Why are you assuming nothing will change next patch?

Why not cry more about guided weapons? I suppose you would prefer the devs just remove them from the game.
