Yes, another one. Why? Because the more of these that exist, the better the chance PGI will get the hint and take a mega-nerf-bat to ECM.

ECM:
  • weighs 1.5 tonnes
  • generates no heat
  • requires no ammuntion
  • can stay on all day without risk of it breaking down or an adverse issue
With the above in mind, ECM should be relatively weak.

My recommendations for what it should do:
  • Negate enemy Artemis for all friendlies within 180m
  • Negate enemy Beagle for all friendles within 180m
  • 25% increase enemy time to achieve lock on friendlies within 180m
  • 25% decrease enemy time to lose lock on friendlies within 180m
Additionally:
  • 25% increase in LRM / S-SRM mis-chance on missiles targeted at the ECM owner, AND...
  • 25% increase in LRM / S-SRM mis-chance on missiles targeted by the ECM owner
  • OR...
  • 10% increase in LRM / S-SRM mis-chance on missiles targeted at the ECM owner

Remembering that ECM only weighs 1.5 tonnes, generates no heat and requires no ammo, here are some things that ECM should not be doing, regardless of whatever TT says:
  • Disabling missile lock within 180m. (This allows speedy light mechs to become way too powerful, especially in groups.)
  • Futzing up sensors beyond the Artemis/Beagle nerf. It's simply too much power for such an item.
