I have been having issues with friendly mechs losing their blue marker. In many cases, this makes me believe they are enemy mechs shrouded with ECM. However, I played a match in Frozen City a moment ago where I hit (I thought) an enemy Hunchback with multiple rounds from two UAC-5 and at least four MLAS hits, then registered 23 damage end of game. This MUST have been a friendly mech.

[EDIT] Went back in game to confirm and both friendly and enemy targets have the correct color and symbol in the minimap. They are missing the triangle indicator at the top of the target box.

that probably happens when the friendly mech runs into the enemys ECM area and the Line Of Sight detection fails to notice that you have line of sight to your ally. It's one of the issues why i hated the spotting system in WoT.

If you manage to get a screenshot or video of this issue please consider dropping it in here:

I've been trying to capture evidence of this since ECM was introduced. I believe it's part of the problem players have with coping with ECM. As they don't understand how it works well enough, some people treat this bug as just part of how ECM functions, without reporting it.

The sooner there is a clear example of this we can show devs the better.

I see this issue all the time, if a match starts and you hear your radar blip you know something's gone wrong, people disappearing off radar when they leave the view of the rest of the friendlies.

This happens so often is has to be a known issue.

This is exactly what was happening with me. Now I am kind of concerned that it has been going on a lot, and I have just been smacking teammates with an AC-20 all over the various maps. I guess I'll have to just stick to brawling range for now, so I can actually see the colored triangles on the mini-map?

What is the screenshot button in game and where are they stored? I just tried a print screen and the image capture that I got was of my desktop with a big black space where the MW window would have been.

That's just one of the numerous abilities of ECM. Within enemy ECM bubble you can no longer:
  • Share target data
  • See allied mechs on the targeting overlay or minimap
  • Achieve a missile lock
  • Use TAG (although the TAG laser will fire, it will have no effect)
