I hadn't started my rather... "niche" business yet. All I had to my name was an apartment in Silesia, a Flea, and some medium lasers. I placed well enough to keep my 'Mech running and my place mine, but food was expensive, and I needed more cash than I was making. It was a stupid risk, one that I probably shouldn't have made, but I hadn't eaten in a few days, and I always get loopy when I'm hungry. Betting on myself seemed like my best idea ever at the time.
