Oddest thing happened to me earlier - in truth it's happened a few times but didn't pay much heed to it. Now I want to ask what the situation is...
I alpha struck mech X (can't remember what it was), and blew off some parts of its body. It was a heavy strike, needless to say. It walked around for about five or six seconds, and just blew up. I got the kill too.
Lol?

I've seen a delay of 0.5-1s... but never 6, that's crazy!

If a mech blows up due to shutdown override, the last person to damage it gets the credit for the kill.

I've seen this many times with a delay of ~1-3sec (especially after a heavy alpha with srms).
I guess Elkarlo could be right, ammo explosions could account for the delay.

yesterday, i was fighting with my D-DC another one. we were alone, both have around 30-40% of life, it was tight.... i fire everything i had, i overheated, mech going shutdown, i think myself, goddamit, not now... grrr, im dead, the other one mech walking in front of me, ready to fire "touch of death" to my shutted down D-DC.... so im sitting in offline mech and awaiting death... then BOOOOOOOOOOM, i see i killed him, 4 parts destroyed... , WTH ?

ammo explosions were easy to recognize with their specific sound, why did they remove it

In the past there were random bug/feature regressions as if they had people working on different source code revisions at the same time.
