I think ECM is a very powerful piece of equipment.
It's very effective for scouting, flanking, capping or as LRM/Streak shield.
It's fine as long as there is a low number of ECMs in a team. But if a team got many or even every mech equipped with ECM, things get out of hand and become unballanced.
TAG as counter is ok, but it's too unreliable.
NARC is still pretty much useless.
The only effective counter against ECM is another ECM in counter mode.
The problem is that, if the opponent got even 1 more ECM than your team, this counter becomes useless, and even the disrupt mode becomes useless because the opponent can counter it while keeping disrupt active.
This is the reason why I think the stackability of ECM should be removed.
ECM in counter mode should cancel all ECM effects in its range, no matter how many there are.
Teams with more than 1 ECM get the advantage of covering a bigger area or covering more groups of mechs with ECM.
If this would make counter too strong, lower the range of ECM counter to ~100m for example.
Removing stackability would retain the effectiveness of ECM for its supposed field of application while providing a real counter.

I agree that counter should counter ALL ECM. That way multiple ECM cover a larger area but when a team has 3 or so become a total blanket on the map.
I also would like to know when I'm covered by my teams ECM, its too hard to tell at the moment. A simple circle showing the area of effect on the minimap will be enough.
