Well, hell, I don't feel like I'm being listened to either. I'll stop explaining.

You should. You are wasting your breath, because "it's beta" /roll eyes

I have beta tested many a game. This ain't one of 'em anymore.

Oh and i guess the game went back into beta last week, because that little "Beta" thing on the logo wasn't there before. So does that mean that the game was released then reverted?

But hey people can keep deluding themselves all they want. Why not ask the devs what is the official release date and see what they say.

They will tell you that the store is closed but they are leaving the back door unlocked with an empty coffee pot sitting on the burner.

people just need to Harden the f up and understand that this game is a work in progress. Many of the bugs we experience daily probably don't show up at PGI, as they are testing and using DX11 on a constant basis. Black screen, yellow screen, FPS bug, are all part of the DX9 issue, DX11 will fix it.

But it's just Beta!

You should drink the coffee with the fly still in it, and you better well damn like it. Don't like it? Well you can get out of my store!

Careful what you wish for.

Can't even code a collision mechanic that works. Honestly, what do you guys people expect from the game?

I had high hopes....now I just settle for being high.

I honestly never thought I would see the day when you were unhappy with the state of the game. No sarcasm intended.

It's not about hardening up or playing through a painful experience. It's about the game not being very fun and having so many other options to occupy my time. I'm sure many feel the same way, but because it's Mechwarrior and they are attached to the IP, they continue to have hope that it will get better. I have hope it will get better, but the strength of my resolve or hope dwindles after every patch, every communication from PGI, every super awesome joke they make about key issue's and community feedback.

Also magically saying that DX11 will fix bad coding issue's is hilarious at best. It would be more apt to bring in more new issue's than it would to solve old outstanding issue's. It's not like some magically better API, it does have it's feature's, but it's still the same as DX9 and requires competent coding to make use of it.

Open beta is not the same as closed beta. One is about helping to make the game work and the other is usually a server stress test with a working game. Knowing which stage we are in will help a lot of posters on this thread understand why people in the game make the comments they do. Also, if you charge money at any point during the life of the game, it won't be treated as a beta by the players, as they'll expect a level of service to be provided for the $ they spend, otherwise they are paying the company to help them develop their product.

People who think this is anything but a beta have incredibly low standards when it comes to games.

Oddly, I have played "release" games that have more glaring issues than MWO does....and MWO is very fun for me despite knowing that there is much work to get from here to finished product.

It's possible that PGI needs to shut down the open beta and go back to a closed beta- just to remind people that this is still a work in progress. Personally, I think the forum community needs to "fix" some things more than the game does....I am seeing huge amounts of complaints that boil down to pilots who are not playing the team game very well, are always trying to play the exact same mech, and/or both. (Since I seldom use "fire and forget" missiles, and am playing on teams more than half the time, I have none of the "ECM problems" others are carrying on for pages and pages about here- none of them.)

Where did you get your crystal ball at? I think mine is broken and can't seem to find where to buy a new one.

Have you played Planetside 2? It tends to get powered up for me more often than MWO when i sit down to game. I still like what MWO could become, but I have less faith in PGI's ability to get there; a lot of my continued presence with the game is based on past gaming in the IP and the hope that they don't tank it completely, more than OBOY NEW MECHWARRIOR GAME. It still gets ice time, but it's becoming a second or third stringer in the game rotation.

I dont believe there will be any resets either. They call it Open Beta to somehow justify charging people money while fixing crap :).

Some of us are spending our premium time now. So we are spending $$. If they refund my premium time and make us all premium for the duration of beta I will gladly stop whining.

Same with me. PS2 is starting to fill up my time. Just still hold on to the hope that PGI pulls it through in the end and provides us with something really awesome. Yes it's fun for a short time right now but it doesn't have the staying power that it needs.

I'm guessing this is your first subscription based game. If you are really pissed, then unsub, because you will never get a refund- take it from somebody who just spent the last 3 years playing EVE online.

That being said...what do you even get if you pay a subscription to this? I thought the sub button here was just a placeholder for now...

I have a buddy that plays...he has more complaints about how that is turning out than I am hearing complaints about MWO.

When I'm unhappy about something I really like, it's go time. Full on crusade.

Premium time = Bonus XP and C-bills per match.

Oh, ok...yeah, I wouldn't do that yet- bad idea until the game "economy" is more complete, and therefore more stable. (especially right now, the next patch is supposed to address some stuff with the game economy- I have bought some MCs early on to help cut down on grinding for C-bills, but have tried to not over do it for just this reason)

Its not a subscription based game... I am guessing you have never played a micro-transaction game before.
