So someone decides to do a little glory hogging and decides to liberate Kittery from the Federation and return it to the Capellans where it belongs.

He has enough friends online to fill 2 lances and opens up one lance to the maelstrom that is PGI's matchmaking routine to look for Capellan allies to fill his 3rd Lance... and perhaps, should they prove admirable... his Skype.

Should he be able to make requirements for them? Not to heavy, not to light, preferably blond? Knowing that the more stringent his requirements the less chance the lance will be filled by launch time?

Realistic answer is "no". In fact, I doubt anyone is the commander in the first place before the system has formed both teams.

I think Capellans ( :) spelling error ninja) and Commonwealth soldiers should have to fight side by side with smiles on their faces.

Even if we're in the same House, doesn't matter what your pilot level or House rank is, you don't get any say in how I play or what mech I'm allowed to bring to the House battle. not yo' house!

Now if you want to spec into the Commander tree, and you want to issue orders and waypoints (that reward me with XP for completing orders) then great, but aside from suggestions, you don't get to dictate how I play.

Anything that prevents people from jumping into an instance and dropping will be received poorly by the unwashed masses.
