Ugh. Math.

$50 gets you 12,000MC, which could be three months with 4.5k left over, or four months with 2k left over. Way better. (It's like DHS for your wallet!)

$100 would be even better, but is a pretty big cash-thump. So... financial clantech?

I was looking at the package pricing too, and I think the $50 pack every three months is the best deal. Enough to buy two 75 ton Hero Mechs with their accompanying mech bays, or cheaper Heroes and a generous number of bays. I feel sorry for people who want to buy 100 ton Hero Mechs... 7500 + 300 for the bay is a damn hard pill to swallow, in my opinion.

I kinda do this now, an actual subscription option would be nice though but as it is if you spend 14.95 you get 3000MC
30 days costs 2500mc which leaves you with 500mc

You're better off spending that MC on a hero mech you can see yourself piloting a lot, or that you don't mind farming in.

Premium time runs out, hero mech bonus doesn't. In 6 months time that premium time is gone, but the bonus credits from piloting the hero is still there. Of course, you'll have to still be interested in piloting said hero, but for some it's a better investment.

or get both, the hero boost with the premium boost is pretty freaking nice
290k in one match is pretty awesome

But if you do the $29.95 deal, you would get 6500MC. That would get you two months of premium (2500+2500=5000), plus 1500MC, which works out to an additional 500MC / 2months. For an increased cost of $0.05. Which is a better deal, if you think you will use the premium time next month (or any future month) as well.

I still see the $49.95 deal as the best overall, as who knows what you'll be doing in several months, which makes the $99.95 a little more risky. But if that's not a realistic amount to spend all at once on a 'free' game, then the $29.95 deal is still ok. The smaller ones... aren't bad, but aren't really as good.

I would buy a 6 month subscription at $90, if it was permanent premium and was at least 2000MC/month.

You could buy another mechbay every month, and convert 5000xp.

Or skip the mechslot, and either bank 500 a month for a hero in about 12 months or convert 12500xp.

Or buy one vanity item, or a paintjob.

Worth it?

NO!

6 x 2500 = 15000
6 x 2000 = 10000
--------------------------
.................27000

The $99.95 gets you 25000, which is in that ballpark. Not bad for an off-the-top-of-your-head statement!

Or you could look at it as:

6 x 2500 = 15000
6 x 1667 = 10000 (well, 1666 and 2/3. close enough)
--------------------------
.................25000

Either way, it's not that far off.

Why play Planetside 2? It is fairly terrible. I spent a week playing trying desperately to like it then realized it was space CoD and that was that.
ahahah, I thought the exact same thing too. I even tried to give it a chance. Opened it up with an open mind. Read everything I could, learnt the game, felt neutral about it. tried to get into it... .... boring. Back to MW:O!

I didn't read anything , but i think keeping a recurring subscribtion should have its benefits. At current pricing i think you need to go with premium + 1250 mc per month. MC is overvalued atm imo.

I had the same problem, couldnt find anything to do and when i did find an enemy I was killed almost instantly
if I chose the wrong spawn point I had to walk across half the planet to get to a more active spot or I have to wait 15 minutes or some ridiculous amount of time to respawn from a different point...
i do not like planetside 2...

I've spent $100 so far on MC, and it's been worth it for me. $100 is equivalent to a full priced game plus three months subscription, and I really enjoy MWO.

I played Everquest for four years, and WoW for five years, and I can't think of any time in those games that were as consistently enjoyable as MWO has been.

Yes, the bugs are annoying, but the team play and mech customization is exactly what I've been looking for in a game.
