This thread sums up my experience with this game perfectly, but the moderators locked it because they can't handle the truth! anyways mine is probably going to get deleted or locked as well even though....

What truth?

That the first pass of ECM is a bit over the top?
That players will find whatever they can to whine about and blame their loss on?

I capped someone's base on Sunday with 2 other people. No ECM on a single mech on our side of the field and someone on their team went, "Stupid ECM cap races." No, you failed to detect 3 mechs that didn't even have ECM to cover up their signals.

LRMs and SSRMs are implemented incorrectly, if they fixed that it would go a long way to balancing ECM.

they are just trying to funnel discusion into one huge thread. a lot of the posts in general are just repeats of what is being discussed in the big thread.

considering its essentially 3 items acting for the cost of 1. it is pretty OP.

Considering it isn't the ECMs fault but PGIs implementation of LRMs and Streaks.... no it isn't. Fix the illness not the symptom.

yeah there are to many ECM threads but the mod locked the last one due to an inability to comprehend basic logic and thread structure so i started a new one so we don't keep having them pop up EVERYWHERE. Its a 3 in 1 thing and there are SO many threads about it. Anyways just trying to clear up the forums of repetitive threads. i am sure the devs will lock this one as well though

ECM acting as both ECCM and null signature for free is LRM/SSRM's fault how? ECM should only prevent missile lock. not prevent non-missile target info. it's also supposed to create ghost signitures on radar, which is a lot less OP than getting a cloaking system that was supposed to generate excess heat when activated for free tonnage.
